Why Big Five Is Not Sixteen Boxes

Big Five treats traits as continuous, so it suits change rather than fixed labels.

Traits are spectrums

Openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and resilience are matters of degree. The same person may be conscientious at work and open at leisure.

Scores are not verdicts

A high score is not virtue, and a low score is not defect. Reliability can become over-control.

Comparison matters more than one test

Place scores beside tasks and dates to see when a tendency becomes resource or cost.
